portable fish hook sharpener
very useful tool - every fisherman needs at least one fish hook sharpener. Does what it's supposed to do with just a few strokes. Good price, yellow color makes it easy to find.
Works well and great for the tackle box
Even sharpen circle hooks! Narrow profile put grooves near the edge - perfect for getting the right angle on the tip. Size and shape fits in the tackle box compartments without getting lost. At any price a total winner.
Nice To Have Handy
This sharpener does the job in a pinch. Bought for the boat as a "quick use" hook sharpener and it does satisfactory work. It is not a fine sharpening tool but I do like the three grooves choice which allows sharpening a variety of size hooks. Will not sharpen small, trout type hooks. One downfall of this type lineal groove sharpener is that it will not do circle or octopus type hooks because you can not get the hook point inside the sharpening groove. Nice quality for the price knowing it is not a high end tool.
