It's an aftermarket part
The ad does not specify, but this is not a Dyson factory part. It's an aftermarket part.
It's not the same color purple as the genuine Dyson parts. It's difficult to push the aluminum tube of the hand-piece into this hose.
It works, but it's inferior to the actual Dyson factory part.
Disappointed
We LOVE our Dyson and when our hose got "stuck" inside the handle we right away knew we needed a new part cause we wanted to keep the vacuum! We orderd it off Amazon--and it's a "knockoff" of Dyson! The hose is very stiff, which is fine, but the part the ORIGINALLY got stuck in the handle is AGAIN stuck in the handle with this cheaper one! Now we'll have to order a new hose plus a new handle! This hose was MUCH stiffer than the one that came originally with the vacuum. Can't wait to get the part (haven't ordered it yet) cause I LOVE the vacuum for pet hair, etc.!

there's not too much more to say when I'm replacing my replacement hose 2 months later.
So far, not pleased with quality. We'll see what customer service has to say!?
